 Mission

Our major focus will be on imparting multi-skills to the students such as interpersonal, leadership, language, communication, computer, entrepreneurship and subject skills which would empower them to move forward to be job makers rather than job seekers.
The University’s foremost aim is to see that its research activities are tuned with current approved thrust areas and to conduct research that have present day social relevance and can contribute to the national development.
University has a vision to establish conducive research environment, which will enable at least five faculty members to be recognized by one of the national academies in the next five years or so and foresee for at least couple of Nobel laureates for the country.
The University also aims to see that its research findings get published in high impact factor journals and fruitful patents generating research will be given utmost priority.
University envisages having more interactions with premier institutions and industries. Funding, leadership, management, quality assurance, accountability, relationships with industry, international collaboration and the way teaching and research is expected as an outcome for the holistic development and to attain financial independence in funding innovative research in basic and applied sciences.
A world class Science Park consisting a science museum, a botanical garden, pet animals, cute little birds and aquarium is envisaged to have within the University premises for the popularization of science and technology among school children, young people and public, which would contribute to the raising awareness of the importance of research and its results for the development of society and also promotes the scientific literacy among the population from rural community. The park will not only highlight the biotic components but also explain the underlining chemistry behind the survival of these living beings and the concepts of physics involved in the day to day life on earth. To briefly describe, it would be a scientific foray for the young minds to prepare them for the future world.
MKU's outreach programmes have been given a facelift by the increased pace and quantum of activities aimed through the empowerment of villages. Under knowledge and technology transfer to villages, the University along with the colleges has adopted 421 villages, from where farmers are going to be given hands on training in production of biopesticides, biofertilizers and vermiculture, which can create regular self income and/or employment opportunities, as it provides never ending market potential.
